Competition Format

The 2009 competition will operate on a merit table basis with teams organizing fixtures amongst themselves. The first fixtures are in May, with the final date for games to be included in the league table being Sunday 2nd August.

The scoring system for matches is as follows:

Any Win: 3 points
Any Draw: 2 points
Any defeat, 1 point
13 players at the start of the game, 1 bo
nus point
Default on game within three days of fixture: 0 points, with 40-0 score-line awarded to opposition and one game added to the team total.

The average number of points scored per game, rather than the total, determines positions in the league table.

Since the 2007 season, we have agreed with our counterparts from the London League, that inter-league games between members of the two competitions can be counted as competitive matches, whilst both leagues are in season. These fixtures will need to be confirmed a week in advance to be guaranteed inclusion as regular season games.

Play-offs

The play-offs will be in August with the format dependent on numbers entering the league. A minimum of 6 games must be played by a team to guarantee participation in the play-offs, at least 4 of which should be against teams in your pool.

The 2009 season starts on May 10th.
